Rant of An Online Roleplayer(TO BE CONTINUED)

I posted this on Gaia as a bit of a release if you will and though I might get more feed back from people here on DA since you guys are pretty cool most of the time. Had to cut it short though cause I just... Really don't like Gaia. I really can only s[end so much time there before the whit background or the page banner starts to make me sick so... Here we go.

"Back again. Why? I'm not really sure. I've pretty much washed my hands of Gaia for the amazing lack of interesting storyies and the equally amazingly short life of my interst in the rps I join.

I've come to a conclusion on why that is. I personally think in cartoon of movie form. When I want to write something in an rp the post comes to my mind like a short animatioin.

That's pretty cool and useful when you're a animator of something. Not so great when you're a writer.

Why?

Because its almost impossible to put every detail of you vision into words and still have it as exciting as it was in your head.

This is usually not a problem for people who can actually write but the majority of rpers are less interested in the flow of their post and more interested in how cool they can make their character look.

I have been extremely guilty of this in the past. Which brings me to my other point.

Rps are not fun anymore because they seem to be split between two extremely different sets of people. These people are the group who display an actual talent for writing and the group trying to escape from reality.

Then there's us, the small group who want to just have fun. We hate rps run by the "Escapist" because they're just... AWFUL! Sex, super powers, and leather pants stops being cool after a few hours of slogging through post after post of some of the cheesiest dialog and the worst grammar ever.

Also when I got into rpers I personally saw it as sharing a story with a group of like minded people who liked fantasy. I was also about 12 to 13 years old and didn't think much of the subject of romance. Imagine my shock and over time disgusted disdain for the abundance of at least implied sex in rps.

Don't get me wrong. The subject can be used as a great device to show that a relationship is blooming, or just an inevitable scene between tow characters that in story doesn't make sense to avoid any longer even though the players don't really want the deed done.

But in most Escapist rps the device is used to satisfy a fetish or sex fantasy that really... I mean.... Really? I really don't even want to get into that.

I mean, I'm not a feminist. In fact I'm quite the Misogynist if you can believe it. And yes, women can be and are just a commonly Misogynistic as men. But I digress. I have seen an abundance of scantly clad women and underage girls being in these little tryst. As woman I'm a offended. As a person I'm disgusted.

oh and don't even get me started on the average intelligence of this bitches. Really people. What's worse is that men and women are playing these characters, these femtards!

Yes I'm useing "retarded" as an insult! WHY!? Because I'm using the word in how it's meant to be used damn it! A label for a class of people that clearly has something mentally wrong with them.


Erm... Sorry about that. Back on task.

Us fun lovers also do not enjoy the "internet novels" because like a real novel there are periods in the plot that's slow and that would be fine if the story was from one POV but when the plot slows down for TEN FREAKING POVs the rp hits a long patch where it's really really boring.

And in some cases the plot slows for one group of rpers but picks up for other which causes a rip in space and time for the characters.

One group has turned in for the night while another plays through to the next day making it day time for everyone since all the characters are at least in the same country if not the same dang city.

Often times the only person who gives a really rat's ass about the plot of the story is the creator and often times co-creator. "
